Is it spring yet?!?!

So after spending the past 3 days shoveling us out of the snow, I've decided that I'm VERY ready for spring! Only 25 more days!!! Lets just hope that the spring doesn't bring more snow!
Okay, it's been a while since I've updated this thing. I've been doing a pretty good job of keeping myself busy. I've been able to catch up with friends, meet them for lunch and coffee. I'm starting to feel like myself again. I was just so stressed while I was at Curves, I started to lose myself. I was angry all the time and that's just not me!! So, things are starting to get better. Jake and I have been getting up bright and early and getting to the gym which helps out with the mood too!! I've really missed that part of our life and it feels SO good to be back! I still have a long way to go from the ankle injury, but I've been running and it's doing great. Things will just take time and I'm fine with that!
Jacob's staying busy at work. The boss took them out for a lunch last week and gave them praise for doing such a great job. They're pretty short staffed, they only have 5 people on the projects team (there use to be 8 so they're having to pick up the work of 3 people) so they're all a little strapped but seem to be keeping their heads above water.
As for me, I've been getting to some of the little things that have been sitting around here for the past 3 years or so. I got my baseboards washed, my curtains washed and ironed, and have reconnected with my kitchen. I've forgotten how much I enjoy cooking and turning ingredients into a meal!! I'm finding my inner Rachel Ray!! We've also decided that I shouldn't start looking for a job until we do the IVF. The deciding factor in that is I'm going to have a lot of doctor's appointments and I don't want to go into a new job with a list of days off I HAVE to have. We're going to live as simple as we can and make this work for another couple/few months and then I'll start the hunt. We just figured that would be the best for this situation. Until then, I'm going to keep the feelers out and hope that something comes up in a few months.
As I close this blog, I wanted to take this time a congratulate two of my best girlfriends. Both of them found out (or atleast announced) that they were expecting. One will be due at the beginning of September and one will probably be due at the end of September. I'm so excited for both of them and look forward to watching them grow....literally!! :) Congratulations gals!! Just promise that if my time ever comes, you'll give me some pointers on getting through it. Until next time, stay safe!! Love you all!

Free at last!

I have some updating to do!! How quickly things change! So, the last blog I posted I was very frustrated with work. There were many things that happened to bring me to this, but on Monday January 28th, I resigned. I didn't see any solution to problems and I had a boss that was not willing to help me do my job better. After talking with Jacob, we decided that in order to save my sanity, I should leave and leave as fast as I could! I've been spending my time catching up on house work that I hadn't been able to get to and it feels GREAT to finally have my house back! We've been talking about the many different options I have and right now we haven't come up with anything solid. We're still trying to figure some stuff out, but I have a feeling that good things are in the future. I'm just so glad my stress levels have decreased!
I have an appointment on Thursday with Midwest Fertility. We're just meeting with the doctor and finding out what the next step is. Please keep us in your prayers the next couple months because we're really hoping to get this baby train on the tracks! We've still decided that we're not going to tell anyone exactly when we're going to do the procedure, but we're hoping it will be sometime soon so please pray as hard as you can for us! This will be out last attempt at having a biological child so we're really praying this works. If it doesn't I know there's a plan for us, but it would just be a shame not to pass these genes on!! :)
I had my last appointment for my ankle and she gave me full clearance! It sounds silly, but it still hurts from time to time...especially if I'm on my feet for a really long time. I haven't been running on it yet, but I'll be doing that tomorrow morning. I'm not anticipating any problems, but I'm just going to take it easy.
Well, I hope everyone is having an excellent week! Oh, and on a sidenote, Jake and I just disconnected our house phone. Call our cell phones if you need to get in touch with us!
