The Children's Museum

On the 13th of February, we went to The Children's Museum with our good friends, the Morrisons. We had SO much fun and loved watching Dietrich take it all in. I just can't say enough how blessed we are to have such an amazing little boy.

As soon as we walked into the Bob the Builder exhibit, he saw the kitty and yelled out 'KITTY' so we had to take a picture with it. We're still new to Bob the Builder, so I'm not sure if Kitty has a name!
'Yeah....I like flowers. What's it to ya?' :)

Dietrich and Taylor playing around in the Toddler room. Everything was padded...they think of everything! I was actually trying to capture a kiss between these two, but I was a little late. Tay seemed to like it!

My, oh my, how time flies!!!

It's hard for me to believe that we have a 13 and a half month old! Time is going by WAY too fast. I try not to take every day for granted and enjoy every little thing Dietrich does...because before I know it, he's going to be getting on the school bus for his first day of school and I'm going to wonder what the heck happened to my baby boy!!! He's the light of our eye and we cherish every minute with him. We, obviously, knew that we would love our baby wholeheartedly, but we had no idea how overwhelming that love would be! We have been so very blessed!!
Dietrich is still being stubborn and not walking yet (by the way, I have NO idea where he got the stubbornness from!). He'll take steps when he's moving from furniture to furniture, so we decided to move our coffee table a little further away from the couch to see if he would be able to 'walk' further if he wanted to....and he did! He's taking 3-4 steps at a time, but that's about it. And he doesn't really show any interest in walking when we try to hold his hands. He knows he can get around faster on his knees and goes limp-legged! I'm in no hurry to get him walking!! I know the faster he starts walking, the faster he starts running....and then it's a totally different ballgame from there on! I know he'll walk when he wants to or when he figures out he can get around faster on his feet. Until then, I'll be thankful that I don't have to chase after him too much! :)
I'm still watching our friend's little girl, Ava. Dietrich loves her SO much, but I have to keep a close eye on him because he doesn't realize how hard he loves! She's brought an interesting spin on my daily life and she's done a good job at preparing me for life with 2 kids....God willing.

CHEESE!!!
