The End is Near!

Dietrich and I decided to take a snow day today so we're staying home and getting some stuff done around this house today. There has been A LOT of progress at the farm house the past few days and I'm getting VERY excited about finishing up! We've been so busy working up there that Christmas is sort of on the back burner (even if it is 4 days away!). We didn't put up a tree this year because there just wasn't time for it. We didn't see the purpose of putting one up here when we're not home to enjoy it (or home to chase the cats away from it. Every year I have to pick it up 2-3 times after they've knocked it down) and will be moving before too long. It was just one more thing that I (AKA, The Grinch this year) didn't want to deal with. We did, however, put up a ceramic one with little lights. It was better than nothing!
Progress at the house is as follows, wood flooring is finished, counter top is installed, kitchen sink in, lighting through out is up, painting finished, transition pieces are in, and tile flooring is being installed. The picture below shows the back entry. Since that picture was taken, the transition between the wood and tile was placed, tile has been installed into the laundry/half bath, and tile has been grouted. We're not finished laying tile in the laundry (ran out) so that's on the list of things to do this week. We will be putting in a laundry tub sink and moving the washer and dryer back into that room. THEN the carpeting can be installed in the living room and one bedroom and we'll be FINISHED!! The end is so near! There will be several things we continue to do (as it is with owning a home) but I cannot wait to be done with construction and focus on life!
Things with Baby P #2 are going well. Feeling great!
Okay, better take advantage of this day and get some things done! Enjoy the new pics!
