Photo sessions with one person have become impossible! I've been trying to take his 11 month picture for a few weeks, but I can't seem to get one with the bear staying on the blanket, Dietrich sitting, AND a smile. I can usually get a picture with ONE of those things, but not all three of them at the same time! It's much easier when Jacob's home and we have a little help.
I realize that not everyone is dying to know our schedule, but I thought I'd share what we're doing on any given day at any given moment. Just for the fun of it!
8:00 Dietrich wakes up and nurses (yes...still. We're in the process of weaning, but not there just yet)
8:30-10:00 Play, read books, chase cats, try out the cat food (he seems to like it and WILL NOT keep out of it), go grocery shopping (on Wednesdays) etc.
10:00 Eat breakfast
10:30-11:00 More playing
11:00-12:30 Nap
12:30-1:30 Snuggle, read books, chase the cats, try more cat food (yep...still good), climb all over the treadmill even though mommy keeps pulling me off, knock down blocks after mommy stacks them, play with the football, etc.
1:30 Lunch
2:00-3:00 More playing
3:00-4:00-4:30 Nap
4:30 Snack
5:00-6:00 Wait for Daddy to get home!!!
6:00-6:30 Play with Daddy (boy, he sure is missed!!)
6:30 Dinner
7:15 Bath time!
8:00 Nurse and bed time.
8:00 AM start it all over again!
So that's what we're doing anytime you're wondering what we're up to!
We're getting anxious for Christmas. We know that Dietrich won't understand what this is all about, so we're having a very small Christmas. We're focusing on the more important things, like the very special gift we've been given this year. We couldn't have imagined what our life would be like with a baby....we dreamed about it for many years, but we could never have imagined life being this amazing.

December already?!?!
I CANNOT believe it's the holiday season!! It feels like only a couple months ago that I was pregnant and didn't think January would ever happen! We have been SO blessed this year and I am reminded each and every day of God's work. Dietrich is our miracle baby and we couldn't have picked a better baby to raise. Thank you, God, for choosing us to be this amazing boy's parents!
So, things have been busy for us (as I'm sure they have been for most). We celebrated Thanksgiving with my family Thursday in Greenwood and with Jacob's family Saturday at his parent's house. I have to say that last year, I was much more comfortable in my maternity pants than I was wearing my normal pants this year after eating all that food! I'll have to keep that in mind if we're lucky enough to have #2!!I have yet to start my Christmas shopping, but was able to get the decorations up a couple weekends ago...at least all the decorations I'm going to put up with a curious 11 month old getting into everything new! No big tree this year, but our little 4' tree is still cute as can be!
Here are some new pictures of the little man. He's not walking yet, but I'm sure that day will come before I'm ready for it! He has 8 teeth and I think he's working on #9 & 10. I love my job and cannot wait to wake up every morning to see his little smiling face!
Playing with the vacuum
Super Dietrich!!
Brusha-brusha-brusha!!
